Although I am glad that the show Parenthood does a lot to bring attention to Autism, as does Autism Speaks, I urge people to donate to their local Autism charities and research facilities. Autism Speaks has long been known for their high salaries and low grant giving. In 2008, their CEO made $646k and they gave out grants totaling $66k.
