This blog is about my 8 year old son Joey and our journey into diagnosing his PDD-NOS and Epilepsy, learning from it and helping others, as well as being a great place to store all the information I gather along the way.

He got dressed!!!
Joey got dressed, on his own, for the first time (for me, anyway), without giving me a hard time!!! Pajamas and underwear off and shirt, shorts, underwear and sandals on by himself. This is so great! For a long time, I have struggled with the fact that he doesn't get dressed on his own...that he just can't process all the steps to get it done...but now he can! This is one of those "life skills" that he should have naturally acquired about 2 years ago, but I say...better late than never!! This is a major feat for him and proof that committing to work on one or two tasks at a time, until the child is successful, really works. It doesn't overwhelm them and gives them time to grasp what they are working on.
